The BBC’s new director of future media and technology, Erik Huggers, has set a target for bbc.co.uk to overtake the audience of every other BBC channel except BBC One by 2012.

Lifehacker asked its readers for their favourite sources for watching television (other than television, one assumes, although many geeks watch way much less ‘real’ television preferring services like these non-linear offerings). High-def Hulu comes in at number one, and of course the BBC iPlayer is in there too. Real the full story here.

Why blog this? Although this is an (generally) US based poll, it is interesting to see how many services there are providing full programme streams, other than just the ‘usual suspects’ of Hulu, iPlayer and Joost (although less of a suspect these days), and how generally it is not the networks providing the services.
